Pop video- Olly Murs 'Dance with me tonight'

Conventions that are happening in the music video 'Dance with me tonight'

Colourful- For example in this music video the colours change constantly throughout the video, sometimes the colour is 'black and white' and then other times the colour is all bright colours such as 'Red, Yellow and Blue'.

Lip synching- At the beginning of the song when the lyrics are first played Ollie Murs is lip this is a convention with is used in all most ever music video to show add more passion to the song.

Cutting- In the music video the director has decided to cut the image on screen every second. By doing this it makes it look a lot more effective and more enjoyable to watch.

Direct eye contact with the camera- Ollie Murs uses a lot of direct eye contact with the camera to make it seem as if he is talking to his audience whilst he is singing. This engages the audience more with the song making them feel more involved and a part of it.

Centre of the frame- Ollie Murs is constantly in the middle of the frame. This makes it show that he is the most important person in the video and the lead character. This also means that the audience are going to pay him more attention.

Editing- The editing in the video is very quick throughout normally in a music video the editing might be slow during each verse and then pick up its pace for the chorus. However in this music video the pace maintains the same speed throughout
